WCPS follows the Priority of access guidelines.
Services are required to give equal priority of access to:
- Children who are at least 4 years old on or before 31 July in that preschool year and not enrolled or registered at a school
- Children who are at least 3 years old on or before 31 July in that preschool year and are eligible for equity loading:
- Children from low-income families
- Children with an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background
- Children with disability and/or additional needs
- Children with English language needs
- Children who are at risk of significant harm (from a child protection perspective).

Hours of operation
The Preschool operates between the hours of 8.15am and 3.45pm Monday to Friday.
Wallsend Community Preschool operates during school terms.
No fees are charged for School Shutdown periods or Public Holidays.
I would have no hesitation recommending Wallsend Community Preschool. My daughter has attended for 3 years and I am constantly impressed with the care and attention given to all the children and families. The quality of the education is outstanding and extremely affordable.
