Affordable Care and Education
The service receives Start Strong Funding which aims to improve affordability of early childhood education and increase the number of children participating for 600 hours in a quality early childhood education program in the year prior to school.
Families that hold a Low-Income Health Care Card, Pension card or who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander receive additional equity funding to reduce barriers to preschool access where the child is aged 3 or over.
3 year old children( non –equity) receive a percentage of the base rate which is calculated on the services Decile band ( Socio-Economic Index for Area).
Fees
The Start Strong program funding and the Affordable Preschool initiative supports families with the provision of 600 hrs of quality early childhood education with the aim to reduce the cost for families. Fee Relief payments can only be accessed from 1 Early Childhood and Education Care Service (ECEC) . Families must complete a declaration form at each service and nominate which service they wish to access the fee relief.

The preschool is fortunate to have leaders who possess a great deal of knowledge and experience in early childhood education. The Director ( Kylie) and Educational Leader ( Cathy) guide the staff to ensure the preschool is providing a high quality service to the children and their families . Kylie and Cathy work collaboratively with all staff to develop a strong team culture, as well as inspiring staff to engage in ongoing reflection and professional learning to ensure best outcomes for children. It is evident that the preschool is continually evolving which is driven by strong leadership.
