I have a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood and a Diploma in Frontline Management in Children’s Services. I have also undertaken a Leadership Program of study through Early Childhood Australia and I have over 29 years’ experience working with young children and their families. I have been the service Director here at Wallsend Community Preschool since 2002 . As the person responsible for the day-to-day management and leadership of the service, I have a range of responsibilities under the National Law and National Regulations and National Quality Standards which include, but are not limited to the educational program, the supervision and safety of the children and staffing.

I have a strong commitment to ensuring young children have access to high quality early education within a nurturing environment and supporting families in their parenting journey. The early childhood years are critical, and as educators and teachers we are very privileged to be a part of this time of wonder, joy, extraordinary development and growth.

My deep connection to this preschool has grown over many years and I feel honoured that in conjunction with our Management Committee and the team, we play an integral role in its ongoing viability, excellent reputation in the community and its delivery of high-quality education and care.
